Dear IMS Families,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I hope this message finds you well and you are enjoying a wonderful summer. As Principal of Irmo Middle School, it is my absolute pleasure to welcome both our returning families and those joining us for the first time. At Irmo Middle School, we are proud to say that we have The Irmo Advantage. This means we are committed to cultivating a school culture where every student is known, supported, and challenged. Our team is laser-focused on achieving strong academic outcomes for all students while nurturing their growth socially and emotionally. We believe that middle school is a pivotal time in a student’s life, and we are prepared to equip them with the tools, skills, and mindsets needed to thrive now and in the future. We are excited to kick off the year with several upcoming events that will help you and your student get connected and prepared:

 

● 📅 July 30 | 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM -Open Campus: Tour the building, find classrooms, and get initial questions answered (athletics, transportation, after school and more).

● 📅 August 5 | 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM -Back to School Night: Join us for an evening of meeting teachers, building connections and tips on a successful school year.

● 📅 August 7 -Students Return! We can’t wait to welcome your child back through our doors!

 

At IMS, we value strong partnerships between school and home. Your involvement plays a vital role in the success of our students and school community. One great way to stay involved and make a difference is by joining our School Improvement Council (SIC). If you’re interested in joining, please complete this brief SIC Sign-Up Form.
