Mr. Mansa Joseph, Principal

EXPERIENCE:
Mr. Joseph has been principal of Irmo Middle School since March 29, 2022. He previously served as Assisstant Principal and Assistant Principal of Instruction. Before coming to Irmo Middle School, Mr. Joseph taught Special Education at Irmo Elementary. He was awarded the Lexington Richland School District Five Teacher of the Year for the 2016-2017 school year.

INTERESTS AND FACTS:

Outside of school, Mr. Joseph enjoys spending time with his wife, Danielle, and his three boys.  As a Clemson student, he was a member of the Call Me MISTER program for male educators. He was also on the 2011 ACC Championship football team at Clemson.

Mrs. Jeanna Locklair, Assistant Principal of Instruction

EXPERIENCE:
Mrs. Locklair has been at Irmo Middle school serving as Assistant Principal of Instruction for 3 years. Prior to that, she was an assistant principal at CrossRoads Intermediate School, and an eighth grade ELA teacher at Fort Mill Middle, Dutch Fork Middle, and Irmo Middle.

INTERESTS AND FACTS:

When not at school, Mrs. Locklair spends her time with her husband, Johnathan, and their daughters, Elsie and Emma.  She also has two fur children, Bernie (13 years), and Maggie (9 years).  She loves a Lake Murray sunset, an evening run, and catching up on shows, both old and new.  She grew up in the Irmo area and graduated from Irmo High School and she has always strived to give students the best educational experience and lift their confidence.

Ms. Sharisse Lee, Assistant Principal

EXPERIENCE:
Ms. Lee is an experienced advocate in Education. She started her career as a Special Education Teacher. For 9 years, she served as a School Counselor before transitioning to Administration. She was also the Assistant Principal at Dutch Fork and Irmo Middle Schools.

INTERESTS AND FACTS:

Outside of school, Ms. Lee enjoys shopping and spending time with her family and friends! She also enjoys spending time with her daughter and the dogs Rufus and Nubs.

 

Mr. Daniel Boland, Assistant Principal

EXPERIENCE:
This is Mr. Boland's third year as an assistant principal at Irmo Middle School. Before becoming a yellow jacket, he taught for seven years as a 6th, 7th, and 8th grade social studies teacher at Newberry Middle School, and spent one year as an assistant principal at Sims Middle School in Union County.

INTERESTS AND FACTS:

When he is not at work, Mr. Boland loves spending time with his wife Ashley and their son Everett.  They love spending time with family and friends and attending Clemson athletic events.  He also enjoys being outdoors, playing various sports in the backyard with his son, taking golf cart rides, and gardening.

Mr. Terrance Alridge, Administrative Assistant Principal

EXPERIENCE:
Terrance's professional journey in education began in 1991 as a classroom teacher at Airport High School, where he discovered his love for student engagement and instructional leadership. After a fulfilling teaching experience at Spring Valley High School, he transitioned into administration in 1996 as an Assistant Principal at Irmo High School, marking the beginning of his educational leadership roles. Over the years, he has held significant positions, including Principal at Allendale-Fairfax High School from 2008 to 2011, where he also served as Interim Superintendent in the Allendale school system. His leadership journey continued at Dutch Fork Middle School as an Assistant Principal and later at the Academy for Success as Principal, where he focused on supporting at-risk students through alternative education. Most recently, Terrance retired in 2024 from Richland Northeast High School, where he served as the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Director and Assistant Principal, playing a vital role in preparing students for their future careers.
 
EDUCATION:

Dr. Terrance Alridge is a proud Rock Hill High School graduate in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where he completed his high school education in 1984. He then pursued higher education at the University of South Carolina, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Driven by a passion for learning and leadership, he continued his academic journey, obtaining a Master of Education (MEd) in 1997 and later achieving a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2009, also from the University of South Carolina. His strong educational foundation has been instrumental in shaping his career in educational leadership.

INTERESTS AND FACTS:

Throughout his career, Terrance has been deeply involved in his community, actively participating in various civic organizations and maintaining a strong connection to his hometown church in Rock Hill. He is a dedicated member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, where he served as Vice Basileus for three years. Additionally, he plays a key role as the committee chair for the Omega Psi Phi Quiz Bowl and co-chair of the Talent Hunt committee, helping to nurture and recognize young talent. Despite his recent retirement, Terrence's passion for education led him to return as a working retiree, eager to continue making a positive impact. In his free time, he enjoys reading, biking, and traveling, and he is an avid fan of science fiction movies, appreciating their imaginative and thought-provoking themes.
